The Sacramento Area Quality Association's (SAQA) mission is,
"To increase the awareness and practice of quality principles
and techniques in private and public organizations by supporting
the quality initiatives of our members." Their monthly meetings
cover a wide spectrum of topics from certifications (SAQA hosts
examinations for the Quality Assurance Institute's CSQA and CSTE
certifications) to resumes.
Made to Order Software President Alexis Wilke and Marketing Manager
John Codling will deliver a presentation at the next monthly
meeting to discuss the importance of using the proper tools when
creating cross platform (operating system) software.
With both Mac and Linux making significant gains in market share, more
and more software companies want to go cross platform to capture these
growing markets. Porting existing software takes a lot of time to retool
the codebase and can make debugging and future upgrades difficult.
In short, some quality in the code is lost, costing valuable development
time. Using a toolkit that is pre-compiled for multiple operating systems
results in software that deploys seamlessly and is easy to debug and
upgrade. In other words, using a software development tool designed
for cross platform deployment results in higher quality code.
Made to Order Software's software engineers have spent 8 years creating
molib and the sandbox, commercial grade cross platform software development
tools. Unlike others the code in our toolkit has been carefully pre-compiled
for MS Windows, Mac OS/X, and GNU/Linux, with many safe and secure
features.
Please join us on November 15th, 2007 to talk with us about molib and the
sandbox! RSVP at contact@m2osw.com.
